Design Process
In this illustration series, we reinterpreted the figure of a king in three different portraits. A gold crown built from letterforms, spotted fur cloaks and dramatic light on a black background let the digital painting bring out the richness of fur, fabric and metal.
The series brings the classical portrait tradition together with contemporary, playful character design.
